I bought a Clié TH-55 a couple of months ago, as I needed an organiser/PDA where you could actually draw on the calendar. The reason for this is that I change my shcedule a lot and need to have a monthly overview. I will sketch a single letter onto a specific day of the monthly view, representing my assignment for the day. It’s a lot faster than typing, obviously, and the frequent changes I make are accomplished easiy.

However I find myself travelling less with my PDA and more with my TR. I hardly use the PDA anymore except for this one function of being able to draw on the monthly calendar view.

Anybody know of any software for Windows that can do this? I would then get rid of my Clié altogether…

well as i understand fully ur want to ditch the clie, i dont see why u want to draw on the TR1…if u do, i recommend a good dry-erase marker

Rainy allows u to put a caleder on your desktop and replace days with icons…great if u can’t find a fine-tip dryerase marker!

Thanks for the tip, jig. I already have Rainlendar on my desktop. However it’s not enough for my needs, just a simple icon. I would also like some kind of basic organiser software, just so I can write down what I need to retain from a specific day (notes, billing, whatever). The Palm Desktop software is ideal, except that it doesn’t have a sketchable calendar. It’s what I’m using now for contacts and all.

Any suggestions?

I’ve never seen one that describes the functions you need, but I guess one might be out there.

Most people don’t realize the Palm Desktop is freeware and you don’t need a PDA to use it, to me its a great piece of software and even if I didnt own my Clie i’d still use it.

I use palm desktop as well and like tifosiv122 says, it’s a great software that’ll still be on my system even when the Clie’s are no longer available.

i agree, i limped along with palm desktop even though the clie was/still is rotting in the closet. then i discovered outlook 2003 which i never would have thought would be any good based on previous versions, but i find now to be my most used MS product besides XP.  But ya certainly can’t write on it! good luck.
