In complete disgust I made the following comparison table of 3 major backup solutions on the market today, all of which I have tried with the Sony TR and I am not very happy with any of them.  So I decided to start a thread, and perhaps something good will come of it. Here is a table that illustrates some of the desires and concerns that I am sure we all have:

i don’t need hub support..acronis true image works great for me.. rolleyes

I don’t back-up my TR, there isn’t anything on it that important. All my school papers are on my file server and mirrored to the TR.

File server is backed up to 2 other HDs (3 mirrors) using my own software.

Pretty happy here with Ghost.  I guess having a couple of large file servers available full time makes a difference for network bakups and restores.

While traveling, I dump the server images into a couple of DVD-R, either of which can boot directly into DOS or ghost, with network, usb and CD support.

Additionally, I keep a few old images just in case… Factory install… fresh XP install, SP2 install, etc.
