Same here - 768 in total - removing the original 256 to replace with a single 512 was not really all that cost effective, maybe if the price drops!

Works fine with all my audio apps, and I really do push the system hard at times.

512 works a-ok for me, didn’t change RAM ever.  Photoshop 7 runs perfectly, and i don’t ever notice any memory loss.  Maybe later on.

768 MB came stock standard with the aussie version of the TR3—good or bad?  Time will tell (probably when Microsoft Longhorn rears its resource hungry head—lol).

Currently running XP Pro under Virtual PC (for work) and SonicStage on the host OS (XP Home)—not too bad, performance pretty responsive with CPU usage hovering between 35% and 50% and 512 MB used (256 for the XP “emulation”).

I bought my TR2 in UK, with 512 Mb. By a chance, one day I was just looking at the price for memory extension without really wondering to buy one, and luckily, without saying much thing the vendor make me a 50% discount for the 512 Mb extension, so I bought it, and now I have 1Gb.

Mine is 768Mb because the Singapore/Australia version of TR3 came with 768MB, instead of B/G. It’s basically a TR2 with extra 256Mb RAM!!!

I did an experiment that I would recomend some of you to try.  Open every app that you would ever run at one time.  Then, open Windows Task Manager and see how much RAM it consumes.  Since mine barely got over 200mb, I decided to stick with the 512mb that my TR came with.  I had another 512 on order and decided to cancel it.  I was so tempted to keep the extra 512, but I decided to save up and build another desktop.  Mine is getting a little old (Athlon K7 950 Mhz).  Those mini Shuttles look so sweet!  :drool:
