I have a TX750p/B and since yesterday i have noticed that the battery is not being charged through the AC adapter. I ran the laptop Just on the battery and it works fine, but when i take the battery out and connect the laptop via the AC adapter, it does not boot up at all…nothing happens.

Second issue: I keep getting a message that “the DVDrw drive needs to shutoff” and would i like to do this?. I press ‘NO’ every time but then it pops up again after a few minutes.

Can anyone explain these issues. Im not very technical. what can the the first issue be due to and what can be done to fix this problem immediately. Is this a motherboard problem or can this be some loose connector/cable that attches the AC jack to the motherboard. My laptop is basically in great condiiton. I have replaced the screen due to a personal (i think) error.

If anyone has faced the same or similar problems, i would appreciate any advice. As always, thanks all for any and every help. Cheers.
2007-06-14T21:40:04-08:00 Installing memory on a TX laptop https://www.siliconpopculture.com/forum/viewthread/7258/ https://www.siliconpopculture.com/forum/viewthread/7258/#When:14:24:49Z
Hey guys. This is gonna sound a bit “iphone boring”, but how on Gods green earth do you intsall additional memory on a TX. I have a sony vaio TX750P/B and i think it only came with 512MB RAM. I opened the memory port on the bottom of the laptop but it only has one slot (unlike the TR which had two 512mb slots)and it is already occupied with the factory installed 512mb. Even if i wanted to max out the ram at 1.5GB, would i have to open up the laptop?? Hope not, first a broken screen and now this. Might as well use it as a frisbee… But before i do, Any help from any of the Gazillion TX owners would do. Cheers.

KK!
2007-06-10T14:24:49-08:00 Have big problems with drivers for T250p and Windows Vista, please help https://www.siliconpopculture.com/forum/viewthread/7256/ https://www.siliconpopculture.com/forum/viewthread/7256/#When:11:06:17Z
Ok, here’s the deal. I did a clean install of windows vista on my T250p and am having major problems:
1. I have installed the video driver and patch however, somehow the video driver uninstalls itself and prompts for re-installation after every reboot. Very annoying and it fails to install sometimes.
2. Sound doesn’t work even though the driver is installed
3. None of the F Hotkeys, or volume controls, or dvd buttons work.

Now, I’ve installed the hotkeys drivers. There are no unknown devices in the device manager, when I to launch the VCCMegabass.exe which is the in the Sony folder in my program files it gives me the message “You can’t launch”

I have read numerous forums trying to fix this, but feel lost, as I feel I’ve tried everything. Can someone help?
Thanks!!!
2007-06-10T11:06:17-08:00 bios password on tx https://www.siliconpopculture.com/forum/viewthread/7230/ https://www.siliconpopculture.com/forum/viewthread/7230/#When:09:35:10Z
Hi I bought a broken txn15p and replaces the motherboard with one from ebay, now it asks for bios password.
