Worse than the Fry’s employees is the customer who happens to be in the same aisle as you and has to give you his opinion on whatever product you’re holding. Of course, they actually really don’t have any clue what they’re talking about but they think they do.

I dont shop at frys.. Only cables and netgear switches for small businesses I service. Frys is also the best playground ... You can always rent all the laptops one by one to “try” them out.

I actually like NewEgg even though I’m local to them. Usually, they have some of the best prices around and they offer free shipping in many cases. So, even though I have to pay tax, it all evens out…and it’s like getting free overnight shipping because I normally get the items the next day.

Also, in terms of RMAs, they have been first rate…even upgrading my returned product because they didn’t have the old one in stock.

if you’re heading into LA, don’t even try going to fountain valley frys.  try the MB, or burbank one.  for ppl that are unfamiliar with the LA area, you’re not going to want to take the 405 freeway, especially during the daylight hours when traffic is at its’ best.  i do like their theme, but damn it’s not worth the drive.
   
and talking about idiots that work at frys, ( i hope no one here works there) they might very well be the biggest idiots when it comes to eletronics.  what’s sad is they try to BS you into thinking that they know what they’re talking about which simply compounds my anger.  well perhaps frys workers aren’t the worst when it comes to bs’ing, that award might go to some of the best buy workers i’ve met.  i think i actually lost brain cells by talking to these ppl.  twice, i’ve gone there looking for a dvd or cd or something and after asking the worker to check for the product, i was given the answer ” sorry, we don’t have it”.  normally i wouldn’t mind the answer, but both times i was standing behind the person and in both situations the worker couldn’t find my product because they spelled words incorrectly (while typing them into the computer data base).  i’m no genius but searching isn’t spelled “serhing”, and it’s sad because i had to wait for a while because the person tried to BS me.
 
  sorry, i normally don’t rant about stupid things like this, but damn, some of those ppl just really piss me off.  i say if you don’t know what you’re talking about, just say you don’t know.  in that case no one needs to waste their time.
