TR retailers in London?

Going to London in two weeks and would like to take advantage of the VAT refund to buy a VAIO TR3 IF I can get my hands on one. May have to settle for a TR2/MP, however.
Any suggestions on where I should go? Usually find what I need in Tottenham Court Road, but I’ll go anywhere in the London area. What’s the going price in GBP these days?

I got mine last October on the Tottenham Court Road, prices vary though, the Sony Centre wanted £400 more! Got mine at a place called Kamla, £200 cheaper than Micro Anticva up the road. I was there last week, seams to be about £1500 mark, exc VAT, at most stores. Price has dropped for the TR1

The TRs in the UK all have black onyx screens. The TR1’s I have seen like mine, have bluetooth, but no DVD burner

Black Onyx and XBRITE are essentially the SAME thing! Sony uses different name in different region I suppose it is just because of their own marketing purposes…or any patent issues…

I have got my TR2MP directly from SonyStyle UK (online store) a week ago with the price of GBP 1709, which was a 5% OFF of the official price GBP 1799. When I bought the machine from them, they even have other promotion packages like FREE Sony digital camera, free extended warranty and etc. Anyway, you will have to call them to get this promotion offer.

The latest UK version of TR is TR2MP, it does come with 1GHz processor, 512 RAM, 802.11g and integrated Bluetooth. You don’t have choices like in US (i.e. TR3A, TR3AP…etc.), you have only got ONE model, which is the TR2MP that comes with XP Pro with NO DVD burner.

Use http://www.dealtime.co.uk to find the best prices. At the moment there is a company called CEC offering the tr2 for £1629.20 inc vat.
The tr1 is about £100 cheaper. go to the dealtime site and just type in sony tr it will list the best sellers.
