Hey Everyone…

    I read as much as I could in the forums about upgrading to XP Pro and couldn’t seem to find much about this problem…

Here’s some background…

    I have had several of these TR2As over the past few months (primarily because I was trying to find the best price and avoid crappy speakers and dead pixels, but anyway..) and on each of the machines I have simply been able to install XP Pro as an Upgrade directly from the functioning XP Home install.  It is my recollection that I did uninstall all the sony crap and Norton junk prior to each of these installs and I can’t be certain, but I believe I even downloaded the XP Updates…

Now here’s the problem…

    On the one I have now (and am keeping) I have tried now twice to do the same thing and get a “Blue Screen” (of all things) during the upgrade process that says “POWER_STATE_FAILURE” during the middle of Installing Devices during the install upgrade process.  The computer proceeds to restart and the process repeats over and over…

    After reading all of the posts on upgrading I now know that there are several complications, but I know I didn’t experience any before and was wondering if anyone has run into this problem…
