Hey guys, I have been researching thin ultra portables, I was originally looking at netbooks, and came across this amazing laptop. I am having a hard time finding them for sale though smile I checked online and saw at one point they were selling for as low as 800, and checked ebay and saw they were going for about 1300. I was just looking to see if anyone on here was selling one? Or if anyone could advise me of a good place to look for one.

Also, how easy is it to upgrade the RAM?

Hi -

X505’s are hard to come by.  Keep watching on eBay, they show up from time to time.

The 512MB of RAM is soldered to the motherboard.  Not really an upgrade potential there unless you’re highly experienced with de-soldering multi-layer printed circuit boards to replace the chips with a set with higher capacity.

It seems that it’s quite difficult to find a good one for sale now.
Check on Ebay from time to time, and you might get lucky.
