Hi all i’m having trouble navigating the site cant find new topic button so i’ll put here, sorry for mistake really need help.

Problem history- I thought my second hard-drive was f’d computer did not boot so did restore.  Removed hard drive and turned on sony vaio tr5ap and still heard the infamouse “chirp” where is it coming from battery in task bar
does the annoying back and forth loop from ac to battery even when ac is plugged in fine?  Why is this happening? what parts do i need? is it the
dc jack?  from other peoples posts i know its not the ac adaptor the only way
i can charge battery is to slowyl put jack in gently when tr5ap is on standby
or off and if it does’n’t click/chirp i know its charging? why?

bought 03’ i think brand new from sonystyle gulp $5000+HST tax canada
tr5ap new toshiba 40 gig
1 gig of orignial ram
new large capacity battery
broken camera (had used alot while lasted sigh....)
no bluetooth....yet..!
broken mouse left mouse button now use only right for click and mouse pad (apple 1 button style)
perfect working dvd burner (on my second one, only wirtes at speed 1 for dvd’s

near future planning for

bluetooth upgrade (pretty blue dash light....Joy smile
SSD upgrade (hopefully 64 gig or maybe more is $$$ drop
repair mouse (new parts)

Have now
1 sony tr5ap (my first computer i love it cant imagine life with you vaio!)
1 new 4 usb Macintosh Mini
took course all in macs for graphic design radio/film school animation new media

heard vista’s really weak so tryed leopard for a change in computers and artsy operating system

neeed help guys with problem at beginning of post thanx so much for all your help and posts in advance TRworld will never die like our sony’s

If you are still using the original AC adaptor, I would suggest trying a new or different one first. Those original adaptors tend to be flaky when old. Don’t be fooled by the glowing green light.

Hi thanks so much i’ll give it a try thank you again for taking time out to pm
i love my sony tr5ap i cant imagine my work and play without for such an insignificant little object it has
brought me so much joy and help its like a real true freind thats always been there for me and im a little nuts
about it lol

trworld as well is just a real important part of my life and interst with this little comp im working on several
vaio intensive projects and video productioons im gonna and some real special things to this forum so stay tuned
