As I wrote before, I’ve been an owner of my X505/P since e few days. I have preinstalled Win XP to the American version and mostly drivers successfully. The only problem is that if the screen background is light, some “dust trails” are visible inside gulp I’m sure that they are NOT bad pixels etc.! It looks like typical dirty screen, but unfortunately, the dirt is “inside”.
Does anybody try to demount the screen to reach the “naked” matrix?
Thanks for any help,
G.

In the sony x505 service manual it calls for a special tool to take apart the shell from the LCD element.  Sony service might be able to assist you with those tools.
