I just recently changed my hard drive on my TR3AP1 from XP Home to XP Pro. I was able to reinstall all the drivers from the Sony website and transfer some other drivers I had from a portable hard drive I used to backup my data. I’m not sure if I did a clean install but my Network Smart Capture does not work. I was having problems with my hotkeys but after reinstalling some other drivers my “Zoom” and “Volume” keys are working fine now. The only problem is the “Motion Eye” hotkey. My camera is functional, it’s using some utility function to activate it. Any recommendations on how this fix this problem? Thanks!

Also, thanks to pugwash75 for the very detailed step-by-step instructions for replacing my hard drive:

Here you installed the Sony Smart Capture Library as well? Should be on your recovery cds/dvd.

Thanks for the response! My computer never came with any recovery CDs/DVDs. I backed-up everything onto a portable hard drive. When I reinstalled the new operating system I just copied every program/system file from the portable hard drive named “Sony” and downloaded the additional drivers from the Sony esupport website. The Network Smart Capture was in a Sony program file folder on my portable drive. I’m not sure if that contained the entire Sony Smart Capture Library or not.

Problem resolved! I was looking through a few older posts and found a link that a member posted: http://www.siliconpopculture.com/forum/viewthread/1653?t=1653

I didn’t have the recovery CD but the post had the information needed.

Thanks for the help! Also, I just added an extra RAM chip to my TR. A 172-pin microdimm chip works great with the TR3AP. I’ve noticed a difference in the speed of my laptop! I this forum!!!
