I’m in a bit of a bind, and I was hoping that someone would have a quick solution for me. A couple of months ago I installed a new hard drive in my TR2A and concomitantly reinstalled Windows XP. Everything was working fine and dandy until today. Naturally now that I’m in the midst of interviewing for jobs, I found out that my stupid hot keys aren’t working. I was going to practice my talk, but I couldn’t toggle to an external LCD with the function F7 key. I scoured the internet and found out that i need this “Hotkey Utility” installed, which I am certain I neglected to do. Is there anything I can do at this point? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers.

Could someone explain to me how to manually perform this Function-F7 function? I can’t seem to get it to properly display on an LCD projector from the display control panel and then toggling to screen “two”. Is there some other place that I should be looking? Once again, any help would be much appreciated )

Look at your keyboard, the bottom left portion, just to the left of the spacebar, you will see an “Fn” key. That is the function key. So just hold that down and then press F7 to toggle display monitors.

Does the laptop recognize the projector?

Yeah, I figured out the physical location of the Fn key however if you look at my first post you’ll notice that the dilemma is my keys are non-functional presumably since I didn’t install the hotkey utility.

The purpose of my second post was to figure out if there was a manual way of performing this same Function-F7 hotkey combination.

Sorry for any confusion on my behalf.

if the hotkey utility alone doesn’t solve the problem, then try installing sony shared library and sony utlities as well.

Awesome Rahul that worked! I previously attempted just installing your hotkey utility but had no success, however the combination of all three files worked like a champ! Thanks again!
