I found out about the recovery wizard too late and deleted the partition that sony makes for the recovery disks. Well anyways I went on to order the disks from their support website but found out that their customer service is very very bad (IMHO). They could not make the delivery for whatever reason and instead of contacting me they just cancelled the order and refunded my account with no notice, leaving me to think my disks are on their way… now im in a situation where i’m deploying to Iraq tomorrow (jul 19 06) and the reason i’m starting this topic is just to give a shot at asking any TR owners with disks could somehow email me some files or w/e, I’ve downloaded as much as I could off the sony site, but there are still drivers like “power panel” (which is all I really want). I have a TR2A sony notebook.

I guess the proof of the pudding is in the eating, but if you can install all the original Utilities and drivers for your TR5 then you will end up with a fully functional TR5, but devoid of the bundled software/bloatware that is only installable using the recovery discs.
