Anyone with a TR5AP tried the headset yet with Bluetooth.  I’ve been following this discussion in case I need to patch mine up.  It’s still in the mail somewhere between the good ol’ USofA and Germany… :(

I’ll field another question here, since I got no responses before.  It’s great to get a BT headset working with the TR, but does such a thing as BT headPHONES exist?

Sorry about a mistake in my previous post. Change 3003 to 3007 in .iinf file to work with T150 just as jbanos described.

regarding Buddha’s question of whether bluetooth headphones exist, I have seen a couple of recent announcements. Suspect they will really take off with advent of bluetooth 2.0, and when Apple integrates it into future iPods

we need step by step instructions. because it took me couple weeks to
get widcomm BT work on my TR3A.

detailed procedure and pictures are hightly recommended.

couple questions:

1) before the patch what we need to do?
just delete entries in device manager or uninstall IBM widcomm?

2) after the patch , what we need to do?
just update the driver to widcomm from device manager or need re-install widcomm????

3) what is ALPS ? why we need the .inf file?

pierre.durand, are you using widcomm stack?

[quote author=“pierre.durand”]I It’s my first post on this forum i’ve been visiting for months now.

> during the operation the “wireless” swich remains “on”
> download the patch.zip > unzip to a directory

> Go to task manager Ctrl+Alt+Del
>kill bttray.exe btstack.exe btwdins (end processes)

>Go to the devices manager, bluetooth radio section

select driver update, manual update with the .inf file provided , the profil will now be under the category “usb bus controllers” and will be named ALPS…

> run the patch from a dos console

it should be ok and write ... (see other posts)

> reboot

>go to the device manager / Usb controllers, select ALPS… device

>change its driver with the old ‘sony blootooth” ones, replace files if prompted

>the alps device disapears and bluetooth radios category opens.

>> everything is working now

I’ve done this 30’ ago, i paired very easily with HBH600 Akono headset, sony ericson phone is able to use the vaiotr as a sound gateway and my logitech bluetooth mouse is still working,

the sound is great in input and output

Hi all,

I just got my BT808 Headset works with my new T250P as follow some instructions here. Now I would like to share my work for all of you.

First is patch your BT adapter using file patch.bat from within thread.
You need only change your BT adapter driver to CSR driver included patch files and then run patch.bat

Second, change your current CSR driver to modified BT driver on Widcomm and you run setup Widcomm.

Third, reboot to safe mode and run Widcomm patch.

Final, reboot and now ready to work with your headset.

Here are links for patches and modified Widcomm .inf

This content CSR driver and patch.bat file

See http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=179871 for further information.

This .inf was added PID3007 will work for most new Sony VAIO with BT
*NEW UPDATED* inf file was added PID3003

I’ve been following this thread and am going to take the plunge: I’m going to get a Bluetooth headset.

Only question is if these instruction will work only with a certain brand or model? Do I need to pay attention to any specific details when buying or will any BT headset do?

Thanks!

IMO, you dont need to pay attention to what BT headset you will buy. All will work. I think you only consider what BT dongle you will buy. Mine is RAYMING BTH-808 works fine with T630 and as headset for my PC and laptop

European TR… already have BT in my machine!  :D
Thanks for the answer, I’m looking forward to using this with Skype. Until now, I didn’t use Skype because I hate being attached to my laptop, whereas I can roam around my place with my regular cordless phone.

Hi,

I was redirected here from Skype and I have tried everything. I get as far as the final stage below:

********************************************
go to the device manager / Usb controllers, select ALPS… device

>change its driver
>click on “update driver”
>Select “Install from a list or specific location”
>Select “Don’t search, I will choose the driver to install”
>Click on “Have disk”
> point to the widcomm driver diretory where you download the widcomm package and unziped.
>Click OK
>There should be 1 single device “sony bluetooth device “listed
>Click Next
>Click OK
**********************************

However, when selecting a driver from where the widcomm package was unzipped to (stated above), there is nothing there accept an “.exe” file. Trying any other file (e.g. btwusb.inf) gives the message ” the specified location does not contain information about your hardware”. I can get the ALPS device installed under USB devices but updating the driver beyond that with the widcomm driver does not work as I do not have the correct file(s)

I am trying this on a Vaio Z1-XSP with built in bluetooth. Indications from Skype are that it is not possible to get this to work on Vaio’s with BT built in… I am assuming then that the fixes in this forum only apply to Vaio TR series, I am doing something wrong or the downloadable files are incorrect.

Any ideas??? Been trying to sort this out for several days now

Thanks

Bobbi

Will should know your VID_xxxx&PID;_xxxx.
Open Device Manager, point to your BT device and double click on it. Select Detail tab and you will see above information.
Download files I posted in this thread and try again.
Let me know your VID_xxxx&PID;_xxxx

Thanks Anh

VID = 044

PID = 3003

I already downloaded the files and was following the step by step instructions but at the last stage, when updating the USB ALPS device, there is no driver in the widcomm package that works. I must have missed something somewhere. Also the patcher for Widcomm download file is an .exe file which does not seem to work but it maybe I need point these to the correct dirs (did try but will give that another go)

First file bt_adapter_patcher.zip is patcher to let your BT can work with audio gateway such as BT headset.
This files widcomm_patcher.zip is patcher to let you use Widcomm 4.0 with BT dongle not supported by Widcomm.
This file btwusb.inf is new one. I added your BT with VID_044e&PID;_3003.

Download Widcomm 4.0 , extract and replace file btwusb.inf with file above.

Good luck.
