nice to hear that. i was wondering are you dual booting? if so did you lose any data on your windows partition when you first installed Fedora core 3?

Thats exactly what i did..
burnt the 4 isos..
put the first one in…booted up..
and did the install
the wired internet works no problem on install..so you can get your drivers for the rest of the hardware
http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net for the wireless.
can’t think of anything else that gives me a hassle

I just got Fedora Core 3 working on my TR3A.  Works great, with the 1280 patch I hjave use of the full screen!

I’ve even got my Firefox Bookmarks & Thunderbird email accessible from either the Linux partition or the Windows XP partition!  Fantastic!  I have yet to try the wireless networking… At home I use the cable-based Ethernet port, which is fine.  I would like to try the wireless out in a Internet cafe or something…

My only real pet peeve is that I don’t know what the status of the battery usage is, and can’t control the screen brightness, etc.  Anyone have any clues about this?

Thnx,
Jay

Use spicctrl for both of these…. I don’t use FC3, so I can’t tell you 100% how to get everything working… you can get spicctrl from here: http://popies.net/sonypi/ ...

My instructions for installing on Debian can be found here:   (i mention this because it works for me) ... unfortunately that won’t help you very much (excpet for the concepts).

Here’s a decent link for a how-to on fedora
