Does the TR2 ship with software recovery disks?  I am referring to disks which will allow you to reinstall the “factory” software image on the HD.  Reading some of these posts, I am confused as to what exactly is included.

Thanks,

any lawyers here?  i know yall like to sue people in the usa. seriously, i am a tr1a user just plodding along using the 30gig 2 partion drive just as configured by sony; i’ve deleted a few obvious things that are bogus (like sony support) that came on the drive, but for the most part, i like it just the way it is.  can anyone give me exact figures on what kinda space i am missing out on - one partion xp pro clean install for example?

here is a list of sony programs that i find useful:
* NOTHING with the word VIAO in front of it.
* Sonic Stage
* Screenblast Acid 2
* PictureGear (except Photo Server)
I think I’ve just deleted most everything else that came with the laptop.

oh gawwddd…is that on here somewhere?  i didn’t see it, but maybe my mind blanked it and deleted it, or visa versa…i had the most horrible exp. with DV Gate and Premiere 6 on my last sony laptop that the mere mention of this program sent a chill up my spine.

my sony minidv has been in the shop now for 5 months and i doubt it’s ever coming out, or i would see if that got fixed in this century.
