Hey All

I have been burning some music videos onto DVD using Nero.
Now they all work fine in any laptop i play it in.
I tried playing it in a PS2 and at first it said cannot read disc but it still brought up the menu, but when i played a video, it would pause every few seconds. It works on some DVD players but on others it pauses throughout like on the PS2 and on some players gives error messages.

Is this to do with the software?

Thank You In Advance for your help.

hi! i have a tr3 and have used nero reloaded to burn lots of DVDs. I think this is a player problem in the sense that depending on what encoding settings that u use, they may not work on some players, causing a skipping video. this happens with other burning software like that from Adobe. I think it has to do with VBR 1 pass or 2 pass and I can’t remember which one solves the problem.  Try it both ways and let us know!

it’s a royal pain making DVDs on a laptop, as some players do not even recognize DVD+r or DVD-R, which is also another problem with distribution. So i have a very old panasonic player that i use for testing (if it works on that, it will work on most of the newer models).

another trick I have found is that, for pc, running the video in windows media player usually has better luck than say Cyberlink’s player. so test there too.

good luck!

ps. PS2 as in IBM Os/2? I am surprised anything works on that!
