If you can make do with 16gb in your TR, (and I have for the past year), then this is pretty good value at AU $110.00

Type or copy & paste item number 300252620373 into eBay search

I disc clean every 3 months and have the previous HDD (an Hitachi 60gb) in a USB caddy with all my music . videos etc on it

with all the software I need on my TR i have about 4GB to 5GB space left

Note if you have an Hitachi HDD you’ll need the Toshibia connector & cage to fit it, If you have a Toshibia HDD you are good to go with SSD.

Hello all. My TR3A is up for sale. Pay actual shipping. I am in Vancouver Canada. I have replaced the bottom casing so it is now in perfect physical condition, meaning no chips and all components are intact and not a screw or rubber missing.

What i thought before was a motherboard issue turns out to be just the power adapter cable. I had the power cable cut and resoldered.

Check out my local posting on craigslist for pictures. I have a paypal account too.

I’ve just started experiencing a problem with a Vaio PCG 6L1M.

Working off the battery power all works fine. But since a couple of days ago, when you plug in the mains adaptor the screen goes so dark as to be almost unreadable. The Fn+F5/F6 keys don’t do anything at all.

VAIO display power settings have power saving mode switched off for mains and battery power, and if I use the VAIO display control panel to reset the display brightness to 5 then hit apply and OK the screen brightness goes as it should for about 15 seconds, then goes back to being gloomy and headache-inducing.

Anyone experienced this problem and able to suggest a resolution?

Thanks in advance.

hi, bought an x505 on ebay, but got a bit of a problem with a circular scratch that it arrived with, about 1 to 2 inches in the middle of the screen, looked at it from various angles and there’s also a small indentation. antiglare coating is also missing in that area. . the scratch really gets in the way, and makes the area look very pale. anyone know how to repair it? its really damage to the top layer which is like a plastic cover of the screen, can i easily remove this and replace with a new one?
thanks so much for any & all help

Hi Guys,

i had a problem with my PCG-TR1MP recently, it just stopped booting and didnt show anything on the screen.
After a bit of testing, i found out that when i removed my second 256 Apacer RAM, the laptop would start to work again.
Does someone experience the same kind of incompability or might my RAM just be defective?

best regards

I’m a photographer and I use my X505SP as a photo data bank too. My camera Canon 1DMk2 uses CF card, so I bought FireWire CF card reader long time ago. It works perfectly with my desktop PCs and transfer speed is pretty many higher than via USB2.0 port. Unfortunately it isn’t possible to connect that CF reader to the X505 because it needs 6 pin connection - CF reader is an active device and needs power supply for correct work. My previous Z505LSK had both i.Link connections - 4 pin and 6 pin, so I had no problem. In my opinion lack of 6 pin FW is the X505 pretty large fault.
So this is my question. Is on a market the 4 pin FW cable having additional “like DDRW3 supplying twig” on the one side and typical 6 pin FW on the other? Or maybe is possible to get only X505SP i.Link supplying plug? If yes, I’m able to make an adequate connection cable by myself.
Thanks for any help.
